Andy Murray set to retire from tennis

Andy Murray today announced he would likely retire this year due to severe pain from a hip injury, saying next week’s Australian Open could be the last tournament of a glittering career. The former world number one and three-time Grand Slam winner broke down at a press conference in Melbourne as he said the pain had become almost unbearable.

Retirement Is A Transition, Not A Destination

People would retire and then within a few years, die. Some people now want more uplifting terms such as reinventing, revolutionizing, recharging or rewiring which suggest vitality and an opportunity for a new life, which may include a combination of work (for pay or volunteering) and play. If you decide to retire, remember that you’re retiring from a job, not from life.
