As we begin a new decade, I wish to remind the Nigerian Youth that we must strive hard to achieve United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 13 which calls for urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts in Nigeria and around the world.

After an elective congress was held in Gombe state in July 2018 where Comrade Bello Bala Shagari emerged as the national president with his executive members, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) have been faced with crisis as a result of two individuals parading themselves as the National President which has resulted to a lot of controversy.
