Igbo Traders Attacked in Lagos

However, on the Lagos Island, social miscreants otherwise called area boys , attacked some Igbo traders over accusation that they did not vote for President Buhari in Saturday’s election.
The miscreants, who were armed with dangerous weapons such as  cutlasses, broken bottles, woods and knives, struck at about 9.am at five streets:  Oluwole, Nnamdi Azikiwe, Tinubu, Bamgbose and Alli streets, taking  the traders unawares.

Apc wins 62 senatorial seats, PDP wins 35

The results, which were officially released by the Independent National Electoral Commission in the senatorial districts, showed that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party had won 35 seats in the ninth Senate. The Young Progressive Party won a seat in Anambra State. In the South-West, out of the 17 results released so far, the APC had won 14 seats, while the PDP clinched three. The commission has yet to release the result of the Ondo South election, which was declared inconclusive.

Buhari gets zero vote in Ekweremadu’s ward

The Peoples Democratic Party, has cleared all votes cast at the two polling units at Amachalla Primary School Mpu, in Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu State. Mpu is the country home of the Deputy Senate President and PDP Senatorial candidate for Enugu West, Senator Ike Ekweremadu. It reports that out of the 499 valid votes cast, PDP scored 468 votes for Presidency, 490 for Senate and 492 for House of Reps. Other parties scored zero.

APC strong supporter shot dead in Nsukka

Nigeria Election office burnt down

An office for Nigeria's election commission has been burned down just six days before the country is due to vote in a general election. The fire in Plateau State has destroyed everything needed to vote, including ballot boxes and voting slips. A spokesperson called it a setback for the preparations for the election but is quoted in This Day as saying that it is too early to suspect sabotage.
