Toxic Alcohol kills 130 Indian Tea Workers

At least 130 people have died and more than 200 are being treated in hospital after drinking toxic bootleg alcohol in north-eastern India, officials said.
Some 35 people were reported dead in the state of Assam on Sunday, days after about 100 people died in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Ten people have been arrested over the bootleg drink, a police official said.

The number of people who died after drinking illegally brewed alcohol in northern India rose to 72 Saturday as authorities began a crackdown and suspended police and officials.
At least 64 people had died in Saharanpur and Haridwar, adjoining districts of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand states, after drinking the poisonous liquor.

Indian man to die by hanging for destroying 4 year old girl’s intestine via rape

A teacher has been sentenced to death by hanging for raping a four-year-old student so badly that she had to have her intestines realigned. Mahendra Singh Gond is due to be hanged next month after he raped the child on June 30 last year in India's Madhya Pradesh district. He raped the girl so badly that he rearranged her insides, then he dumped her body in a jungle area, assuming she was dead.

India’s stock market is 7th biggest in the world

India’s ranking has improved two notches in the league table of the world’s biggest stock markets. Currently, India ranks seventh with a market cap of $2.1 trillion.
At the end of 2017, India was at the ninth position despite its market cap being $2.4 trillion. The domestic market has seen an erosion of $308 billion in investor wealth this year.
