Olawepo-Hashim, Moghalu, pick running mates

The relatively new political parties also launched their presidential campaigns yesterday.

Among the foremost candidates off the block yesterday were the Peoples Trust, PT, presidential candidate who announced Dr. Arthur Nwankwo as his running mate; Professor Kingsley Moghalu of the Young Progressives Party, YPP, who announced Mrs. Umma Getso as his running mate and Dr. Oby Ezekwesili who flagged off her campaign with a thanksgiving service in Abuja.

Announcing his choice of Dr. Nwankwo in a statement yesterday, Olawepo-Hashim said his vice-presidential candidate was selected for his legendary commitment to the struggle for South-East integration, aside from his popular fight for the freedom of Nigerian people.
